Build 45. Rear Bulkhead Finish
Once the rear dampers we installed, I decided to finish off the Rear bulkhead carpet and belts. I left the carpet loose so I could access the damper bolt easily, but now I have put the dampers in and torqued up the bolts, I decided to fix the carpet.
I wanted the damper bolts to be accessible at any time so for this job I actually used a mix of spray adhesive and Velcro strips, the Velcro will be used along the edges so it can be pulled back a little bit if necessary.
The spray adhesive I chose was Ever Build Stick 2 - Instant Spray Contact Adhesive. I secured the Velcro strip down each side as pictured and then used the spray adhesive towards the middle part, thus allowing access to that damper bolt shown in the top left.
I then secured the 2 remaining belts to finish off the rear bulkhead.
Looking ahead at the manual, there is a need to rivet the speedo cable to the rear bulk head, so I will likely need to drill a hole from the back through, I will do this just next to where the velcro part is to ensure it does not foul the rear carpet!
